Louisburg Elementary School believes
that the education of children is a cooperative effort between parents/families
and schools. Parents/families are their children's first teachers and
involvement by parents and families improves the educational achievement of
their children. It is believed that the involvement of Title I
parents/families increases the effectiveness of the program and contributes
significantly to the success of the children. Louisburg Elementary School
staff members and administrators will strive to involve parents/families as
partners in the educational enterprise.
The staff members will invite
parents/families of all LES children to annual meetings to discuss the programs
and activities provided at our school with Title I funds. The staff will
consult and solicit input from parents/families and inform them of their right
to participate in the design and implementation of the projects. Parental
participation is strongly encouraged.
All committee meetings that include
parents are scheduled after school at times that are convenient for parents to
participate. Programs designed especially for parents will be advertised
by media, newspaper, and the school to ensure parent awareness.
Advertisement will also be in Spanish.
Parents/families will be given the
opportunity to confer with their child's teacher(s), to visit classrooms and
participate in parent/family activities planned for the school year.
